About Keira

I wish I could comment on Keira's childcare abilities, but unfortunately I can't because it never got that far. Keira followed my initial application instructions (unlike many) and I requested to set up an initial Zoom interview with her. I said I was available from 3-6pm and she chose 6 - which was not actually a time I was available, but I chose to give her the benefit of the doubt that she'd misinterpreted the timeframe. That was at about 11:15pm the night before, after I was asleep. The next morning I asked if she could do even a little earlier, say 5:45. No response all day. Shortly before 6:00 I sent her a Zoom link anyway saying I would make 6:00 work. I did not get a response until 6:23, when she wrote back with the excuse that she had been working with a "high profile" family who didn't let her use her phone during the day, as if the issue was that she couldn't check her phone during the day, and not that she herself had suggested an interview time during which she was apparently not actually available (since she was not able to look at her phone until 23 minutes after the interview time she chose). She could've told me that the time range I suggested wouldn't work and asked for alternatives, but instead she chose a time and then didn't show. Highly unprofessional and foisting off responsibility for her bad decision on another party - not great qualities in a sitter.
