Hi, I'm Kaylee ! I am 20 and I absolutely love caring for individuals with special needs. I am currently enrolled at University's nursing program to become a nurse that specializes in disabilities/developmental disabilities! I worked at a camp for individuals (both adults and children) with disabilities and special needs of all kinds. I was a counselor for the summer, as I spent caregiving for a cabin of five-six people with disabilities per week alongside my co-counselor and the campers volunteers. I assisted the campers in ADLs and regular camp activities; which included bathing, changing, assisting in the restroom, lifts, brushing teeth, feeding etc. I went through an intensive week training where I learned lifts and knowledge on ADLs and the diagnosis of each camper. I have plenty of experience as personal care companions for individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, and plenty of other diagnoses.
