Growing up, my mother was a TA in our special needs classrooms from elementary up to highschool. This gave me the opportunity to spend time with my mom & students after school, which developed my love for working with those needing extra care & attention. I've found I am a calming presence who does well reading people's energy and needs, as well as having patience for our differences. Whether it's spending quality time, helping enhance their day to day or assisting with work, I really enjoy the challenge of one size does not fit all as we are all unique individuals. I'm happy to have mentored and was paired up with a new buddy each year starting in middle school. Additionally, I'm an avid lover of the arts & thoroughly enjoy incorporating music and creative activities with them. I can speak from experience in college, working alongside special needs adults while building on a show or project is very fulfilling for me.
