Experience: 10 yrs
For 10 years, I've provided nurturing, developmentally-focused care for newborns to toddlers. I'm now becoming a CAPPA-Certified Postpartum Doula and seeking 1-2 families for remote support to complete my certification. My approach blends infant care expertise with holistic wellness coaching-offering feeding guidance, sleep support, emotional check-ins, and fourth-trimester planning. With specialized experience in prematurity, multiples, and diverse needs, plus Harvard wellness training, I help new parents feel confident and supported. Based in LA, relocating to NZ in March 2025, but available worldwide via Zoom. Let's connect for a complimentary intro call.
Kayla cared for our baby boy as his full-time nanny for a year, and it’s impossible to overstate how much she has meant to our family. From the very beginning, she became far more than a nanny — she became our son’s best friend and a true member of our family. Her warmth, intuition, and deep understanding of his needs helped shape such a joyful, secure, and loving first year of his life. Kayla consistently goes above and beyond in every sense. She has an incredible ability to read our son’s cues — knowing when he needs fresh air, stimulation, comfort, or quiet — and she brings so much thoughtfulness and joy into every day with him. She balances attentive, loving childcare with light household support seamlessly, helping with dishes, laundry, and light food prep in a way that always felt natural and supportive, never transactional. On a personal level, Kayla was an incredible source of emotional support for me when I returned to work. She helped me navigate breastfeeding, offered reassurance during a vulnerable transition, and cared not just for our son, but for me and my husband as well. I’ll never forget days when I was sick and she brought me tea in bed — moments that perfectly capture the kind of person she is. Both my husband and I work from home, so finding someone we could comfortably share space with every day was essential. Kayla exceeded that need in every way. We genuinely enjoy her company, trust her completely, and value her as a close friend. Our home is better, warmer, and more joyful because of her. We are absolutely devastated to be losing Kayla as she moves on to her next adventure — though we are so excited for what’s ahead for her. She has played a huge role in our son’s early life, and anyone lucky enough to work with her would be gaining an extraordinary nanny, doula, or caregiver. Kayla is a phenomenal human being, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.
