About Kayla

As the eldest of four siblings (there are eight years separating my youngest sibling and I), working with kids started for me very early. During grad school, I developed and taught a custom course for a local elementary school. After grad school, I took a break to work with three foster siblings (I learned so much from this experience!) and an infant. Lately, I've been working remotely as an environmental specialist and I miss being part of an intergenerational community and having kids in my life. I want to be a positive influence in kids' lives and support my community. I'm looking forward to having my own family eventually, and I know I'll be in the same position of seeking support someday.
