About Kayla

Creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children is my passion. I previously worked as a Jumpstart Corps Member for two years. In this role, I primarily worked on improving literacy, social, and emotional skills in preschool age children. Additionally, I have experience with special needs children. I am multilingual and fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). I enjoy playing outdoor sports, board games, and educational games. Particularly, I love park trips and engaging in hands-on play/activities. I am a third-year college student and hold certifications in CPR and First Aid. I'm comfortable caring for up to three children and follow the parents' lead when enforcing household rules. I communicate with parents through verbal updates and text messages, according to their preference. Supporting families and making a positive impact on children's lives is very important to me, and I hope to bring my patient, friendly, and calm approach to your family.
