About Kayla

Kayla has helped me with my now 3-year-old and 1-year-old in NYC and NJ since my oldest was a baby. What I really enjoyed about Kayla was her following my parenting style. I never saw her disrespect that. And I never saw her use her personal phone, either. Kayla was not only in the moment with my babies, but she also used her teaching skills with my two girls. While reading, I have witnessed her asking critical questions, such as what the weather is like or what the characters are wearing, and so on. And she has worked with my oldest on her writing and phonics—which is very age-appropriate. She has taken advantage of our play-doh on many occasions with both girls and includes them in clean-up, which is also a big deal to me. She is always on time. And my girls love Kayla. I have been teaching Spanish to my daughters and have witnessed Kayla reviewing the calendario y libros with both girls. Her interest in teaching a second language also proves how much she cares. Because of location, it’s not always possible to work with her, but I still check-in for weekend help. The last she worked for me was this past month, and I was very pleased with how close she was with my two girls. I will continue to work with Kayla whenever possible.
