About Kayla

I am a current student myself working towards my bachelors in social work. I currently work with impaired individuals and have to teach them activities of daily living. I understand that everyone learns differently and I believe in working with a persons strengths and using their potential to apply to areas that are struggling. My teaching philosophy is that everyone has potential to learn and grow and I'm there to learn and grow with them. I'd describe my personality as empathetic, proactive, and resourceful. I like tutoring because seeing a person blossom and know they can achieve their potential is fully rewarding for me. I'm looking for a job that I look forward to coming to and can be challenging. In my spare time, I like to read, play cozy games, and hang out with my husband and dog. One thing you should know about me is I will push people to learn in a way that is challenging but never impossible. My skills include patience, adaptability, and goal setting.
