About Kayla

Hi! I'm Kayla, a Florida-certified elementary teacher with 6 years of classroom experience and a master's degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Design. I don't believe there's one way to teach every child, so I take time to understand each student and find what works for them. I use games, movement, hands-on activities, technology, and their interests to make learning engaging. Reading is a particular passion of mine. I use a structured, Science of Reading approach to support phonics, decoding, spelling, fluency, and comprehension. I also tutor elementary math, writing, homework, and enrichment. Whether they need extra support, a confidence boost, or more of a challenge, my goal is to help them feel successful and enjoy learning. If you think I might be a good fit, I'd love to hear what your child is working on and chat about how I can help!
