About Kayla

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I'm a 23-year-old graduate student at the University of South Florida pursuing a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. That means that I have extensive education involving language/linguistics, cognition/memory, speech, voice, and the neurology of learning. I have clinical experience working with preschool and school-age children with speech, language, and reading disorders, along with tutoring experience in ESL, reading, and writing. I'm passionate about creating a safe, happy, and engaging environment for kids, whether that means helping with homework or using play to support language development, and of course ensuring all of their needs are met. I have occasionally babysat for friends and family over the years (ages 1-18, though not on a regular basis or through a professional company). I'm excited to offer care again! I'm also happy to pet-sit, as I grew up with dogs/cats and currently care for dogs. Let me know how I can help your family!
