About Kayla

I'm Kayla, a longtime early childhood educator and new mom looking to connect with a local family seeking a nurturing, Montessori-inspired environment for their little one. I have 10+ years of experience working with young children as a Teacher, Assistant Director, and Head of School, with much of my recent career spent in the Montessori community. I also have private nannying and babysitting experience and am CPR and MAT certified. I'm hoping to combine my love of teaching with being present for my almost1-year-old daughter by welcoming another child to learn and grow alongside her. We live in the Harpers Ferry/Bakerton area near Shepherdstown and have a Montessori-inspired space in our home. Our days include Montessori activities, art, sensory play, books, music, practical life, independent play, and lots of outdoor time. I'm primarily seeking a flexible part-time arrangement and would love to find a family who values a small, loving, home-like environment!
