Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and eating Measure and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate Provide basic patient care by changing bed linens, bathing and dressing patients, and serving meals Assist patients in moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and automobiles Answer patients' call lights and determine how to assist them Document patient information in medical records Monitor and report changes in patient health status Assist with medical equipment, such as catheters, tracheostomy tubes, and oxygen suppliers Provide emotional support to patients and their families Follow safety procedures and infection control protocols Participate in continuing education and training programs
