New to Care
This is a criminal background check required for all caregiver before they can message families.
I've been caring for kids most of my life, starting with my two younger brothers and then helping with my nephew and niece when I was about 7 or 8 years old. I spent a lot of my summers, weekends, and free time babysitting for them, and not long after I started babysitting for my mom's coworkers and families from our church when I was around 10 or 11. I also took a babysitter's safety class at the hospital, which gave me a good foundation. Later on, I earned my EMT/Firefighter certification after high school and did hands-on training through Auburn Career Center, which taught me a lot about safety and responsibility. I also took a veterinary assisting class at Lakeland Community College, which came naturally because of the overlap with what I had already learned in human medicine. Altogether, these experiences gave me a strong background in caregiving and being dependable in both everyday and emergency situations.
