About Kayla

I have over 20 years of childcare experience, 12 of which were as a full time Nanny. I have worked in daycare, preschool and Montessori settings. The last family I worked with was full time for 2 children for over 7 years from infancy on. We have a nearly 2-year-old son and I have started looking for a similarly aged child to care for at our home in NW Olympia. We live in a great neighborhood with a fun and safe indoor and outdoor play space. We are walking distance to neighborhood trails, the waterfront, a splash park and playgrounds. I love to incorporate music, arts and crafts, sensory activities as well as lots of outside playtime. We also read a lot of books! I enjoy hands on learning experiences, whether it's baking or making playdoh or a walk around the neighborhood to observe nature. We don't have very many plastic noisy toys around and most of our toys are open ended to encourage imaginative play. Please feel free to reach out if you feel we might be a good fit!
