About Kayla

Hello! I'm K : ) I provide enrichment and connection-based respite care for families of children with Autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. I'm experienced with implementing/supporting any existing programs from behavioral, language, or OT/PT specialists. My main objective in care-work is to foster a mutually enjoyable relationship that facilitates play, communication, independence, and meaningful interaction with the individual's community and wider world. My formal training is in art education, special education, behavioral science, and family engagement. Safety, both physical and emotional/relational, is a top priority in my work. Let's go outside, make something together, read stories, share a meal, or play pretend! At this time, I have availability for per-diem or substitute-style respite care opportunities.
