About Kayana

I'm Kayana, and I have been working with kids ever since I can remember. I have five younger siblings- the oldest is 23, and the youngest is seven, so I have lots of experience with kids of all ages. I started as a camp counselor when I was 15, & have since moved up to a leadership position there. I was a gymnastics coach for two years before being promoted to the Supervisor of the Gymnastics Program. I was a concierge swim instructor for infants, children and adults for a summer in New York. I have babysat, tutored & nannied several kids over the years. I also have experience working with kids who have special needs, including ADHD, Depression, Anxiety, Autism, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, PTSD, Cystic Fibrosis, Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy and so on. I have conversational Spanish skills. I would prefer a family who is looking for long term care. I'm most comfortable with infants through grade-school age kids.

Kayana was so wonderful with my 3 year old. She's engaging and fun. She was a camp counselor for a number of years and my daughter loved learning some camp songs! She's also been a youth gymnastics coach for a number of years, and my daughter was so excited to show me her forward roll after working on it with Kayana. She holds firm boundaries and enforces expectations kindly. If your child likes routine and consistency as much as mine, Kayana would be a perfect fit. The only reason I stopped using Kayana for care was because we moved away. She is super sweet and a joy to work with!
