About Katlyn

Empowering young learners to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching philosophy. I have four years of experience as a certified teacher in New Haven and a dual Master's degree in Elementary Inclusive Education and Teaching Students with Disabilities from Teacher's College, Columbia University. I specialize in helping elementary students master reading, math, and essential study/test taking skills so they start the new school year with confidence. I believe every student possesses unique potential. I prioritize open communication, actively listening to your child to adapt my methods while maintaining regular check-ins with you. Whether we meet at your home, the library, or a local coffee shop, I am committed to building confidence through consistent positive reinforcement. I am comfortable with pets and have reliable transportation, so I look forward to partnering with your family to help your student thrive.
