About Katlyn

Hello! I am a fourth-year Music Education major and Education Studies minor at the University of Florida. I love making music, reading, crafting, and exploring nature. For two years, I worked as a childcare provider for the YMCA of the Treasure Coast Child Watch Center, during which I was responsible for creating a safe, enriching and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 10 years old. I have worked as a babysitter for several different families with children from 1 year to 7 years old. I have also taught general music lessons in Gainesville elementary schools as part of my coursework, overseeing 5-25 minute lessons for 20-25 children in Kindergarten, Third and Fourth grade classes. I am certified as a Red Cross Lifeguard, and am also CPR/AED and First Aid Certified. I always aim to foster compassion and curiosity in my care by encouraging exploration and guiding social-emotional learning.
