About Katie

I am a former classroom teacher (Learning Disabilities, K-12, and Elementary Education, K-6) and a mom of three amazing kiddos-they're the best! I have more than a decade of classroom teaching experience in elementary and high school settings, specializing in math and reading instruction. I also spent eight years serving as a Family Ministry and Kids Director at a multi-site church. My sweet spot is supporting students with learning differences through math and reading intervention. I fully believe in a multi-sensory approach to learning and love helping children build confidence while discovering that they are capable of success. Over the years, I've also worked as a camp director/counselor, preschool gymnastics instructor, math tutor, reading tutor, and coach. I knew I wanted to become a teacher and work with children when I was in second grade, so every job I've ever had has involved investing in kids-and I wouldn't have it any other way!
