About Katie

Through my seven years of formal classroom teaching, 10 years of private childcare, and four years of tutoring, I've developed quite an extensive portfolio. This year alone, in only 4 months, my students proficiency rating average has increased from 23% to 80%. My methods lie with fostering a strong rapport and challenging critical thinking. So that not only will they know the right answer, but they'll also know the right questions to ask. My students see success in my class because I understand that every student has a different learning style. Every student is unique. So, if they all take the same exam, that means I tailor the process, so that they all get the same product; proficient or advanced. My services include SAT/state test preparation, final/midterm exam support, study skills/academic coaching, college essays and college-focused writing support, enrichment for advanced learners, online learning support, and individualized assistance for students who have fallen behind.
