About Katie

I am a positive, compassionate & creative individual. I love working with kids because I enjoy all the stages of childhood. Their curiosity for life & joyous outlook on all things is refreshing. I'm looking for a job that I feel valued in & can create a positive, safe & loving environment. I taught elementary school for several years, stayed home with my daughter while nannying for a family for a few years & I recently worked at a Women's gym running the daycare. In my spare time, I like to take my children to parks for picnics, go for walks, cook healthy meals, thrift for bargains, line dance & karaoke. I am a proud mother to 3. A son who is 21 a college athlete & will graduate this year & two daughters ages 11 and 8. I am happily married to my husband of 17 years. My skills include being active with kids while finding free & fun activities throughout the city. I am a patient, loving & fun person who loves to support mothers and fathers in child rearing.
