About Katie

Hi there! I moved to Madison in August after completing my Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology at University of Virginia. I have a full-time job as a postdoctoral fellow during the week, and would love to become a regular weekend, weeknight, and/or special occasion babysitter for a few local families! I have extensive experience working with infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and their families. Back in kindergarten I was a "mom's helper" to our neighbor who had triples and by middle school was babysitting for several families a few evening a week. After college, I worked as a full-time nanny for three young children and eventually went on to get my PhD in Child Clinical Psychology. I very comfortable caring for individuals with special needs including autism, developmental delays, learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, etc. While babysitting, I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing games, going on adventures, and being creative with kids!
