About Katie

Empowering students to reach their full potential is at the heart of my teaching practice. I hold a college degree and specialize in helping elementary and middle school students master Math, English, Science, History, Art, and essential study skills. My approach focuses on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than rote memorization. I adapt my methods using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions to suit your unique learning style. When concepts feel challenging, I break them into manageable steps and connect them to your personal interests to keep you engaged. I believe clear communication with families is vital for tracking progress and setting goals. Witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student masters a new skill is the most rewarding part of my work. I am truly honored to support your academic journey and celebrate your success every step of the way.
