About Katie

Hi! I'm Katie, a recent graduate from the University of Washington, finishing with a degree in majors Chemistry and Biochemistry. I spent all 4 years my high-school career as a regular paid babysitter for three families in my town. Once at college, I got a job as an Educator for a before & after school care program at Clyde Hill Elementary School while also regularly babysitting for a family for four years, multiple times a week. I'd describe my personality as compassionate, inclusive, and eager to learn. I am applying to medical school this fall and would love to take on any tutoring roles if necessary. I started working with kids when I was 13, looking after my neighbor's children. From there, I became a regular sitter as they had more children, and for various other families who had received recommendations. In my spare time, I like to study, read, and write! I also enjoy taking walks with a good playlist.
