About Katie

I truly enjoy the company of elderly men and women. My professional experience includes transportation to and from appointments and activities; meal preparation (I used to be a caterer); companionship including walks, reading, organizing pictures and going through boxes of belongings; as well as general conversation. I was also the primary caregiver for both my parents who have both passed away (my father at 93). As a caregiver, I'm patient, calm, compassionate, and friendly. I have many character references speaking to my ability to connect with all kinds of different people. I also have experience de-escalating stressful situations and handling confusion or agitation. I have some college education, and I am certified in CPR and First Aid. I can assist with transportation, errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, and mobility. I am told I have a big heart.
