About Katie

Katie was an exemplary employee. She never was late nor do I remember that she ever called in to miss a day s work. Katie had set assignments that were time sensitive and she always got them done appropriately with attention being paid to detail. There were tasks that I asked Katie to do that she was nervous about as she had never had to do anything like what was being asked of her to do before. She was able to push herself to get the task done effectively and made a tool that would help her achieve the task efficiently. After just a couple of attempts to these new activities, Katie was able to accomplish the task with style and grace. But that was just how Katie handled herself in the workplace. She showed her love for people very clearly in those months that we worked together. She listened to our clients and thought about ways that she could make their days a little brighter. I do believe this will transfer to her being an educator as well. When working with people, not one is just like the other. Katie was able to tailor her approach to what the clients needed and couple that with what had to get done at work. Her overall compassion for people was evident in the connections that she made. I have had the privilege to see Katie briefly off and on throughout the years after she was no longer employed under my department. She has consistently been a joy to run in to and her ability to make people feel at ease in her presence remains. Katie is a strong, smart young woman and I was proud to have had the time that I did with her. Her ability to think out of the box and problem solve while she is doing what needs to be done is innate in her personality.
