I'm from Kansas City an have been in Denver/Northglenn area for over 8 years. I have watched all ages from newborn to preteen and up to 4 siblings. I've been responsible for making sure all meals were prepared and served. Picking up and dropping off children at multiple destinations such as school, practice and church events. Giving baths, tucking in and bedtime stories have been required in the past and that is A OK with me. I love animals as well. I am not a fan of screen time. If your child relies heavily on screen time, I'm not a good fit for you. I love being active with kiddos and engaging with them. I will respect how you parent and appreciate boundaries being set so all parties are on the same page to keep consistency with the child/children. I'm comfortable with light housekeeping duties and laundry. Date nights or weekend getaways too. I have had my background check and drivers report done through Care. Also CPR Certified.

Katie came to our family during a rather arduous time: my wife (a stay-at-home mother) was home with a toddler in the throes of the "terrible twos" as well as a newborn exhibiting colic symptoms while I was on military deployment in Afghanistan. Selecting her to aid in the care of our children was one of the best decisions my wife and I have ever made: she is kind, caring, and provided invaluable support that both enabled and empowered my wife to overcome the obstacles that my absence presented. While Katie may have been our employee, it is not an exaggeration to say that we truly think of her as a member of our family - both of our children absolutely adore her. One of Katie's greatest strengths is her consistency. She listened to our parental concerns as well as employed the same choice/consequence model with which we approach our children; she is compassionate yet firm, which greatly aided in improving our children's behavior. We can't recommend her enough!
