About Katie

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential has been my professional focus for the past 10 years. As a certified teacher, I specialize in Math and English, helping children build confidence by transforming complex problems into manageable, achievable steps. I prioritize a personalized approach, actively observing how each student engages with new material to tailor my methods--whether through visual aids, hands-on activities, or real-world connections. I believe open communication with families is essential to fostering a supportive learning environment. Whether we meet at your home, the library, or school, my goal is to celebrate every "aha!" moment as your child masters new skills. I find true joy in watching students develop a genuine love for learning, and I look forward to partnering with your family to help your child thrive.
