About Katie

I create a positive learning environment where students feel safe, confident and encouraged to grow. I strive to bring a sense of calm, support and enthusiasm to each session to help students feel comfortable and engaged in learning. I focus on building critical thinking skills, fostering independence and helping students recognize their strengths. I enjoy tutoring because I love building connections with students and helping them develop strong study habits, confidence and enjoyment of learning. My experience comes from student teaching and internships, where I have worked one-on-one and in small groups supporting student learning. While new to paid tutoring, I have several years of hands-on experience. One thing families should know about me is that I prioritize relationships and believe students learn best when they feel supported and encouraged.
