About Katie

I bring 15 years of teaching experience focused on reading, writing, math, and behavior special education as well as my reading endorsement and behavior strategist endorsement. I believe all students can learn, and everyone learns differently. Because of this, my tutoring approach involves meeting each child where they are and building learning opportunities around their strengths and interests. I begin the tutoring process with a series of assessments to ensure that our time together is targeted and purposeful. I vary my teaching strategies based on each students' individual strengths, interests, and needs. I encourage open communication and am flexible with scheduling, as needed. I am supportive of all family structures and ability/disability levels. I'm excited to work with you to help your child find success!
