I am an EMT with current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications and experience caring for children with a variety of needs, including ADHD, autism, and cognitive disabilities. I also have experience caring for a child with cancer. I focus on creating a safe, supportive, and comfortable environment while adapting my care to each child's individual needs, personality, and routines. Through my EMT training and clinical experience, I am trained in patient assessment, safe transfer and positioning techniques, blood glucose testing, and responding appropriately to medical situations. I have a particular interest in Type 1 diabetes care and have some experience supporting T1D management, and I would be excited to continue developing my skills in this area. I am dependable, patient, attentive, and comfortable working with families to follow established care plans and routines. I also have reliable transportation and am able to drive to appointments, activities, or other commitments as needed.
