I knew I wanted to be a nurse when I was a volunteer candy striper at a local hospital while I was in high school. I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes specifically dementia units. Her kindness, caring nature, and communication was so greatly appreciated in our time of need. I wish that we were staying in the area longer so we could continue to have her as a caregiver.
