About Katie

Hi, my name is Katie! I've been involved in childcare for over 11 years as a nanny, babysitter, and as a teacher's assistant in Spain through the NALCAP program where I helped students learn English. Most recently I was an au pair for 5-year-old twins over the summer before I returned to the US. I am an avid reader, lover of music, and a big fan of trying new hobbies. I've helped teach children how to swim, tutored multiple age ranges of students in English, and truly value helping children develop the skills needed to promote self efficacy. I have experience with newborns up to 12 years old and am aware of appropriate milestones and challenges in that demographic. I'd describe my personality as warm, helpful, and encouraging. My skills include creativity, adaptability, conflict resolution, and education through play as well as structured learning. My overall goal is to be a helpful presence and to form positive relationships with the families I work with
