About Katie

I am a college student with a flexible schedule looking to make a difference in the lives of kids and families! I am outgoing, kind, and resourceful. I started working with school aged children through volunteer programs in high school, and have since gained over a year of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in a daycare setting. I am certified in early childhood education, CPR, and first aid. I love caring for kids because they have such a fun, unique perspective on everything. Even in the hard moments, I believe it is important to get on their level, communicate in a productive, age-appriate way, and help them learn not only basic life skills, but also how to regulate and communicate their thoughts and feelings better. I am also very comfortable with animals, especially dogs and cats.
