Hi! I am a stay-at-home mom to my 5 y/o son and 3 y/o daughter and am available to care for an additional friend in my Point Pleasant Beach home each day! I have a BA in Education. I have 5 years experience working as a nanny, 3 years experience in Montessori Schools abroad, one year as lead 2 y/o teacher and have 8 years experience as a certified k-12 Art Teacher in public schools. I am also a certified children's yoga & mindfulness instructor and worked extensively in teaching mindfulness techniques and social-emotional supports to teachers and students. I provide a safe, nurturing environment where your child will get the care and attention they need. I use positive discipline and Montessori-inspired practices to encourage secure attachment, confidence and independence while nurturing each child's natural desire for knowledge, understanding and respect. I strive to create a fun, enriching, safe space for your little one to learn and a warm, loving home away from home.

There are no words that can justify how truly AMAZING Katie is. I met Katie when my daughter was 6 months old (now 16 months) and I was panicked about going back to work. The minute I met Katie and her adorable children, I was immediately at ease. Katie's teaching background, Montessori-esque home set up filled with toys, warm and caring personality only scratch the surface. Katie has carefully listened to all of my suggestions and guidelines around nap schedules and bottles. She feeds A. wonderful meals every day and really taught her how to eat by herself. She also takes A. to the library, park, beach, and for long walks - A. has become a part of her family! In addition, she has never called in sick or been a minute late. She has been my "wing woman" in raising my daughter and I trust her wholeheartedly. Katie is the reason why I am a happily working mom - I can't speak highly enough. We will sorely miss her next year but we are forever grateful for this special year.
