About Katie

Hi! My name is Katie and I've just moved back home to Pittsburgh after completing an Au Pair contract in Austria! Including my one year Au-Pairship, I have been nannying consistently for the past 5 years. I went to Penn State for early childhood education and human development/family studies, and then I paused my studies and worked at an early learning center as a teacher. I have professional experience with children ranging from 6 weeks old to 10 years old, as well as a passion for fostering the emotional, social, and cognitive development of little ones. I also have experience planning and leading early educational activities. I especially love any type of outdoor play (there are amazing forest kindergartens that I learned from in Austria!) and think of play and exploration as the most important methods of learning for children.
