About Katie

Hi! My name is Katie, and I'm an Educational Studies and English double major with a background in early childhood education and child development. I've cared for children from six months to 8 years old in New York City, and am looking to start working with new families. Before NYC, I worked as a teacher's assistant in multiple preschools, where I helped preschoolers reach key developmental milestones through creative play, storytelling, and emotional learning activities. In addition, I've spent several summers as a camp counselor for kids ages 7 to 15, which included leading games, outdoor adventures, and arts projects designed to build confidence and teamwork. I'm CPR and First Aid certified, energetic, dependable, and love to create engaging, screen-free activities that keep children happy and learning. Whether it's planning a fun day at the park or helping with infant routines, I bring patience, enthusiasm, and a strong educational foundation to every family I work with.
