Experience: 20 yrs
I'm an extremely loving, attentive and dedicated nanny of 20 years with experience as a preschool teacher and also a mother of 2 boys. I have experience with newborn up to 9yo. My current Nanny family I have been with for 4+ years and I have had multiple other long term positions: 4 years, 6 years and 2. 5 years. I'm a natural multitasker and have always cared for multiple children. I love having a huge part in shaping little minds as they grow, learn and experience so much of the world for the first time as well as take pride in being a big support for parents in the home (laundry, dishes etc.) I love painting and can paint a mural if there's down time! I'm happy to provide a very full resume w/ amazing references. I have my CDA (Child Development Associate), 1st aid/CPR trained. I'm available full time in July and 3 days/week from August on.
Katie has been with our family since January 2022, when our daughter Emie was just two years old, and it’s honestly hard to put into words how much she has meant to us. From the very beginning, Katie was incredibly loving, patient, and engaged. She is one of those rare people who truly has a gift with children—kids are naturally drawn to her. She is warm, big-hearted, fun, and genuinely lights up around them. It’s something you can’t teach, and she has always had it. When Emie was younger, Katie handled all aspects of her care—meals and snack prep, feeding, getting her dressed, naps, playtime, and taking her to activities like story time and gymnastics. She was always attentive, hands-on, and fully present. As Emie has grown, Katie has grown with her every step of the way. When Emie started VPK and now Kindergarten, Katie adapted seamlessly to our changing routine. She has been responsible for school pickups on her days and continues to support Emie with homework, school projects, and learning in such a patient and encouraging way. At the same time, Katie became an even bigger support to our household overall. She has helped with laundry, dishes, organizing, and whatever was needed to keep things running smoothly—something that made a huge difference in our daily life. Katie is also an incredibly talented, trained artist, which has been such a unique and special gift to our family. She created beautiful murals in our backyard play area for Emie, turning it into something truly magical, and has always brought creativity into everything she does. Beyond everything she does, Katie is reliable, thoughtful, and truly part of our family. She has also been an incredible support system for me personally, and I genuinely don’t know what we would have done without her over the past few years. The only reason our needs are changing is because Emie is growing up and starting elementary school, and her routine is shifting. If we could freeze time and keep Katie with us forever, we absolutely would. Instead, we’re incredibly grateful for the years we’ve had and know that another family will be so lucky to have her help their child grow into the kind of confident, happy little person she helped Emie become. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have Katie. I recommend her wholeheartedly and without hesitation.
