About Katie

Hi, I'm Katie! I'm a Surgical Technology student and former elementary school teacher with a genuine love for working with children. Before beginning my Surgical Technology program, I spent several years working as a teacher, where I gained extensive experience caring for, teaching, and connecting with children of different ages and personalities. I'm patient, dependable, nurturing, and I truly enjoy creating a fun environment where kids feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Because of my background in education, I'm also happy to help with homework, reading, learning activities, and keeping little ones engaged rather than simply turning on a screen! I'm comfortable helping with routines such as meals, snacks, bedtime, bath time, school pick-up/drop-off, and keeping children entertained with age-appropriate activities. I'm also happy to help with light tidying related to the children.
