About Kathryn

Hi, my name is Ruby (I go by my middle name) and I am a recent college graduate from The New School! I have been nannying since I was in high school and have over eight years of experience working with kids. I nannied for multiple families in Brooklyn throughout college, doing after school pickup, taking kids to extracurricular activities, among other outdoor excursions on the weekends. I love drawing from my formative experiences in Waldorf and Montessori school when working with kids, so I prioritize outdoor activities away from screens. I have worked with many children from infants to pre-teens, and I am comfortable changing diapers, bottle feeding, and working with toddlers who are potty training. I am Red Cross certified both for infant and adult CPR and was also trained as a lifeguard at home in Seattle. I have severe asthma so I am familiar with preventative and emergency protocols for asthma and anaphylaxis.
