I don’t know how I’d have coped through my Mom’s final illness without Kathryn. She started out working 3-4 early evenings/week, keeping Mom company through her cocktail and dinner, then into bed to doze and watch TV. They made friends and Kathryn even gave her a few manicures and helped her with her hair which Mom loved. As Mom needed more help she was able to work more hours until the last weeks when Mom couldn’t be left alone, right through to the day she died, Kathryn was able to work even more so I could have breaks. She was reliable, kind, and upbeat to be around—really I couldn’t have asked for a better helper and companion for my Mom and for me.
