About Kathryn

For the last 9 years, I have been teaching children ages 4 to 14 in Villa Park, IL. I have experience teaching students of diverse backgrounds, special needs, and learning styles. I understand the value that children gain from experiencing a structured, safe, and creative environment. Before teaching, I worked as a full-time nanny for a family with 3 children, ages 5 to 12. Some of my responsibilities included setting up and driving to play-dates, doctor's appointments, and extracurricular activities, grocery shopping and cooking meals, planning educational and recreational activities, and holding children accountable for household chores and responsibilities. Throughout college, I worked as a part-time nanny for a family with 2 girls, ages 7 and 11. My main responsibilities included after school pick-up, homework help, and cooking dinner.
