About Kathryn

Hello! My name is Katie. I worked as a nanny and a teacher's assistant for 3 years before moving here from Bettendorf, IA. I've worked in schools since I was 19, in both general and special education classrooms. I have worked closely with children, ranging from infant to 18 years old, with physical and learning disabilities, behavior disorders, and more. With an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy, I am prepared to teach kids more independence in basic, everyday life skills such as: social skills, self-care tasks, and more. I enjoy teaching new skills and keeping school-learned knowledge fresh over the summer. I love being outdoors, crafts, movies, and interactive games. I like to find what makes each child unique, and embrace what makes them who they are. I love animals, so pets are great. I'm available immediately, if after-school pickup and care is needed until the end of the school year. I can't wait to meet your kiddos and have the best summer ever!
