I have worked with seniors for the last 30 years, both professionally and privately. I have just recently retired as the Wellness Manager at a local assisted living. I have always done private care and I know I want to continue to do private care to continue doing what I love. I feel that even those with dementia and Alzheimer's can find a quality that some do not feel is possible. Sometimes through music, art, or just by joining their journey. My last private case aged in her home with round the clock care and now needs nursing home care for more medical reasons. I continue to visit her because I really care. I also have done hospice care and had extensive Alzheimer's training. I am looking for a couple of shifts per week or to be a back up to your care team.
