I taught special education middle school students (LD, BD, ED, hearing/vision impaired, Asperger's, etc.) for over 34 years in a public school. I also was a special needs foster parent and adopted children with special needs: seizure disorder, mild/moderate developmental disabled/cognitively impaired, emotionally and behaviorally disordered. I am 57, and my children are now either in college or employed, leaving me with free time. I am intelligent and quick to learn, but more importantly, I am compassionate and patient. I treat every individual with respect, and I also believe that a label or IQ number does not always limit potential. If I can be of assistance, I would like to help if I can.
