About Kathleen

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is my primary passion. With 11 years of experience as a licensed teacher, I specialize in making math and literacy accessible and engaging. I believe every student possesses unique strengths, so I tailor my approach by using visual aids, hands-on activities, and open dialogue to suit your child's specific learning style. When concepts become challenging, I break them down into manageable steps and celebrate every small success to build lasting confidence. I prioritize clear communication with families to ensure we remain a collaborative team. Whether we meet at your home, the library, or online, I strive to foster a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. Seeing a student's face light up when they finally master a difficult skill is the most rewarding part of my day, and I look forward to helping your child thrive.
