About Kathleen

Hi! I'm Kathl! I worked as a pediatric nursing assistant throughout college. I graduated with my degree in Child Life and now am a Certified Child Life Specialist. I have extensive experience working with both typically developing children and children with unique needs, abilities, and medical complexities of all ages (birth-26yo)! I'd describe my personality as bubbly, warm, and creative. I like working with kids because they remind me to embrace my inner child and encourage me to see the world through the lense of compassion and curiosity. I started working with kids when I was in high school. I babysat for typically developing children as well as children with a type one diabetes diagnosis as I am also a a T1D. In my spare time, I like to travel, try new restaurants, shop, listen to music, and connect with nature! One thing you should know about me is I use a gentle parenting approach that is based on my knowledge of child development as well as modeling appropriate boundaries.
