Hi. My name is Kathleen E. I have been caring for Seniors with Dementia for over 30 yrs., including my own Parents and my Maternal Grandmother. I started out as a CNA working in skilled nursing facilities, retirement communities and caring for Seniors in their own individual homes. After I got married, I took a break from my job to raise my kids who are now adults. Currently, I work as a Senior Home Caregiver. I offer all my Senior Clients Companion Care, Personal Care, Meal Prep, Feeding, Ambulation, Medication Reminders , Bathroom/Incontinence Issues, light housekeeping and errands. My Personal Goal is that ALL Seniors are kept Safe, Comfortable and Happy while living in their own respective homes, helping with their unique changing needs and respecting their independence. When my mother was living on her own at Coburg Village I hired Kat to come in a few days a week to make her breakfast and ensure that she took her medication. Kat is compassionate by nature and always positive about things. Caring for the elderly is obviously her personal calling. It was great for my mother to have Kat come in and do her hair, chat with her, and look at family photo albums. Kat would ask questions and had my mother tell her who all the people in the photos were, so it was a wonderful memory care exercise disguised as fun! Kat was very attentive to my mother's changing needs and her input was instrumental in my decision-making when it became clear that my mother could no longer live safely on her own.
