I was a CNA for many years and cared for Seniors with Dementia in various skilled nursing facilities, retirement communities and in countless Seniors' individual homes. After I got married, I took a break from my job to raise my kids who are now adults. I am now working as a Senior Home Caregiver and drive my own car. I am happy to offer my Senior Clients Companion Care, Personal Care, Meal Prep, Cooking, Feeding, Ambulation, Medication prompts, Bathroom/Incontinence issues, light housekeeping and errands if needed. My personal goal in my job is to keep Seniors Safe, Comfortable and Happy while living in their own respective homes, helping with their unique needs and respecting their privacy. When my mother was living on her own at Coburg Village I hired Kat to come in a few days a week to make her breakfast and ensure that she took her medication. Kat is compassionate by nature and always positive about things. Caring for the elderly is obviously her personal calling. It was great for my mother to have Kat come in and do her hair, chat with her, and look at family photo albums. Kat would ask questions and had my mother tell her who all the people in the photos were, so it was a wonderful memory care exercise disguised as fun! Kat was very attentive to my mother's changing needs and her input was instrumental in my decision-making when it became clear that my mother could no longer live safely on her own.
