I have taken care of an older lady for a 1 1/2 years while under Hospice care, including all home responsibilities and another lady in recovery from an operation for a month. I took care of cleaning, cooking, making sure meds were taken properly, transport, shopping, pet care, the garden and everything. I have my CPR/1st Aid certification. The thing I loved most about caring for my "ladies" was making them feel loved. We would both enjoy sharing our stories of our lives and I knew it was making their days happier. Also, I seem to have the "nurturing gene" so now that my kids are gone it gives me satisfaction having someone to care for who needs and appreciates me.
