About Katherine

My love of pets started at a very young age. Since I was 3 years old I have been helping care for pets, my mother was a dog groomer my entire life. As a family growing up we rescued animals of all sizes including wildlife. As an adult, I have owned and helped break horses, I rather enjoy mucking stalls. Upon moving to Pennsville, I went to adopt a dog and left employed by the local animal shelter as their Dog Room Lead. In this position I was in charge of managing all incoming and outgoing dogs care, feeding, cleaning kennels, applying medications, assisting with vaccines. At this time I was also in charge of training all dogs while in our care. My job did not stop with the dogs, we cared for rabbits, ducks and of course cats. During my time at the shelter I also fostered 30+ kittens in my own home. No animal to small, no animal too large, no behavior issue that I am not willing to attempt to correct!
